Tajikistan has been in the news lately, as Jaga (Mirzo Ziyoev) – the strongest opposition commander from the civil war – most unfortunately “fell down some stairs” resulting in his death. More on this incident plus an analysis of all these security incidents up north in a later post.
To be fair, this is what he looked like lately:
